In vitro study | Tectoridin scarcely binds to ER alpha as compared to 17beta-estradiol and genistein. Tectoridin induceds potent estrogenic effects, namely recovery of the population of cells in the S-phase after serum starvation, transactivation of the estrogen response element, and induction of MCF-7 cell proliferation. Tectoridin induces estrogenic effect, and this effect is severely abrogated by treatment with U0126 ( MEK1/2 inhibitor). Tectoridin promotes phosphorylation of ERK1/2, but does not affect phosphorylation of ER alpha at Ser (118). It also increases cellular accumulation of cAMP. |

Application | The Herba glycoside was extracted from the rhizome of the plant of Iris family, which can be used for content determination, identification, pharmacological experiments, etc. It is also a lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) inhibitor. |
biological activity | Tectoridin is an isoflavone isolated from Maackia amurensis. Tectoridin is a phytoestrogen that activates estrogen and thyroid hormone receptors. Tectoridin exerts estrogenic effects through the ER-dependent genomic pathway and the GPR30-dependent non-genomic pathway. |
Use | belamnoside has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. for content determination/identification/pharmacological experiments. Pharmacological effects: heat toxin, swelling pain. |
